I was born in Maine and lived there until I was 12 and then returned for college (University of Maine, Orono-Go Black Bears! LOL) Anyway, sunflowers are so much prettier than what Maine is known for..potatoes! LOL! You don't exactly go back to see how pretty they are as they are growing! Although, right next to our house were huge fields where this industrial farmer used to plant potatoes and then corn (alternating years). Have you ever played amongst corn fields that are way taller than you? It was a BLAST!!! LOL! Anyway, it's cool the various sunflower contests that have gone on lately! And remember, never let your placement get you down because it has nothing to do with the quality of your entry! Hugs, sweetheart! | - |
